Testing has proven CeramClean II™ will clean and unplug ink-filled cells in laser engraved ceramic anilox rolls without damaging the integrity of the cell. Anilox Roll Cleaning Instructions
Water - UV - Most Solvent-Based Inks

1. As with all cleaning products, gloves and eye protection should be used. An MSDS sheet is enclosed with every order.
2. Squirt a quarter-sized dollop of cleaner on a clean, damp rag. This should easily clean a 10 inch to 13 inch face roll. Adjust cleaner amount to the face length of your roll using the info at right.
3. With the CeramCleanII™ on a clean rag, scrub the face of the anilox roll in a circular motion. You should not need to use any more cleaner.
4. After cleaning the entire roll race with the cleaner, take a clean rag and wipe it off. Ink should be present on your wipe-off rag.
5. Rinse the roll thoroughly with water (preferably hot, or at least warm) to ensure all the cleaning solution is free from the engraved cells.
6. Repeat this process as necessary. One cleaning should be all that is needed for the average roll.

If your anilox roll is severely plugged with ink and has not been cleaned for a long period of time, repeat the process above until the clean wipe-off rag remains free of ink residue.

If you follow the instructions above and use the amount specified at right, you should be able to clean approximately 55+ 10 inch face rolls with (1) 16 ounce bottle of CeramCleanII™. Of course, your results will vary depending on cleaning method and severity of dried ink.
