web breaks on delam relam turn bar
Good morning my printing buds! I have an old question, for the second time? ha ha. I'm running 8 colors. I'm delaming at the infeed nip and printing type on the adhesive on the first station. I have a turn bar right beneath the second station. It just so happens that I ran 80,000 feet last week; rol...

Re: Plugged holes in anilox mandrels
longtimefan. There is a sensor in the back of your press that activates the air pressure; it's probably bad. Depending on the number of stations, I believe one sensor activates two stations, im not sure. But it's not that the holes are plugged, it's that there is very little air going through your m...

Re: registration
Hey Gorilla, it's not a CI press, it's an inline 8 color. I have been tied up with other presses, but let me wait until I get one of these jobs again on said press, and I'll upload photos for you. Thanks

Re: Some common courtesy
I apologize on my own behalf. I do however agree with Frank; I am guilty of asking and not responding right away, but that's because I have an extremely limited window of opportunity. I'm usually tied up, but I do go and believe it or not, look at old old posts, just to see if anyone has added any c...

Re: W&H Problem. Any experts here?
You have to set the counter to the amount that you want it to splice at. For example: if you want it to splice at 5500 feet, then set your counter on the MR10 to 5500, but you need to activate the automatic transfer, and the transfer arm/disarm. those two buttons need to be activated and the way you...

Sorry guys, I got tied up. I haven't had a chance to take pics. I'll probably do it tomorrow. I'll look into the manuals, thanks Frank and Gorilla

web buckling and pacing values
Guys, has anyone here ever run a Nilpeter FG? Does anyone currently operate one? Here's my question, there is a panel at the die stations that has all the information on it that you need to be able to operate digitally from there. You can move register, whether printing or die, and you can also set ...

Re: Air flow rate in drying system
PLEASE! Don't do anything to the dryers; They are already set to how they're supposed to work. I you start messing with them, you'll have more trouble; trust me! You have to understand the basics of printing before you can understand how drying or curing works. This ghosting that you speak of, is no...

Re: saftey glasses
It's for you own safety. However, if you are running your press, you don't have to wear them because it does interfere with your ability to see the register better. I only use them during set up, and wash up. If they say anything, just tell them oh well, I can't see my product when I'm trying to reg...

Re: registration
Sorry guys! I haven't figured out how to upload photos. I will soon though. Fuzz, it's moving along the web. not side to side. It's not a CI press; it's an inline 8 color Nilpeter, servo; gearless sleeves. I was told not to use nips, but guess what? I did a thorough maintenance on all nips and used ...

OK, I have a new one. Even though I've been doing this a long time, I've only been running film for about 3 years. I have so much movement it's not even funny. I don't have chill rolls, and I'm using UV inks. My first color always walks in one direction, so it's predictable and I usually beat it bef...

Steve, Thanks, thank everyone. Gorilla, yes! I hear ya! Thanks guys for all the pointers. I did have to have it made bigger in order to fit, but it took me and a whole army.
