Plate Mounter

Postby Dbl A » Fri Sep 04, 2009 1:35 pm

Does anyone know where I can find a simple plate mounter. We have one from this company (rotopress, a division of Nilpeter) but need a wider version (17").

Follow this link to see a photo of the type of plate mounter we currently have. The company's web site looks like it hasn't been updated since the stone-age.

Very simple and easy to use. Works well, even without all of the cameras and monitors. We currently mount most of our plates by hand but we are going wider and I think we may run into problems with mounting the larger plates.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

We have 6 Harley Opticheck Mounter/Proofers. Guys that work on them love 'em. We mount plates for corrugators. Hope this helps!

We have Mark Andy Platemounters VPM200 and VPM160. You would want the VPM200 they work really good, they are cheaper than all the other ones out there and they are very accurate. you can probably find a good used platemounter at QDPPE or any used press part supplier.

We have also installed several Heafords here, they work very well. If you don't need the accuracy and and would prefer not to make the investment, you can have something made like the one you have. We had several made at a local machine shop that worked very well.
