Black light/ strobe

Post by longtimefan »

Looking to buy

Can anyone let me know if a black light from Amazon would be a good purchase or is there better black lights for seeing varnishes with optical brightener?

What strobe light works best for you?

in my limited experience, the trick to how good a black light works is more how dark an area it is in, very little ambient light can render them quite ineffective.
We have bought and used ones from Home Depot in the past, we saw very little difference between them and very expensive ones in our application. keeping the ambient out is the trick.

You may have limited experience but have produced a main point. Ambient light needs to be nullified.
